Program can not download to program files

 · The 2 "Program Files" folders have super-duper protections on them. Unfortunately in Windows8 I don't think there is a way to remove it because it is tied in to UAC and you can't turn off UAC any more. The workaround is that while you cannot directly save to the "Program Files" folders (for example, from notepad) you can copy files into it.  · Your antivirus might be interfering with the download process which can cause the download to not complete successfully. Thus, you are not able to download anything. Therefore, a way of solving the issue would be to turn off your topfind247.cotion: Network Engineer.  · It's always been possible to install third-party programs as you are doing it, even installing on other drives or partitions. To more or less standardize things Microsoft chose the default of Program Files for bit versions of Windows and using Program Files for bit programs plus Program Files (x86) for bit programs that can run on the bit versions of Windows.

Windows will display a long list of known file types in the next menu. To change any of these, click on the known option for that type and select from the list that appears in the Choose an app menu. If there isn't an existing default app applied, click Choose a default and select an option. For file types that have no known software installed, click Look for an app in the Microsoft Store. Note: If your downloaded file is an EXE file, it is not a Zip file. It may be a self-extracting Zip file, in which case you do not need to open it in WinZip. You would simply double click the EXE file and click Unzip, noting the target location (Unzip to folder).A setup program may start automatically or you may have to open the target location and double click the setup program manually. After reading this post, you should know the difference between Program Files folder and Program Files (x86) folder as well as why Windows 10 separates bit and bit programs on your PC. If you have any questions or different opinions regard the folders, you can share it with us by leaving a message in the comment zone.

This prevents any outside (not Windows) program from making any changes to any program in Program Files. What this means is that if you try to install a mod or other file that will change the topfind247.co or any other file in a game, the UAC will not allow this to happen. I have changed this to C:\Program Files\Tor Browser but I get the following: It also happens if I try to install to the Program Files (x86) folder. It's always been possible to install third-party programs as you are doing it, even installing on other drives or partitions.
